For 30 years Playdor in Higher Walton was known as Carr Manor nursery. This is in fact where Lucy, one of the owners, began her childcare career at 18 years old and 10 years later came back to this nursery that held very fond memories of staff, parents and children and bought it in December 2016.

The nursery had a refurbishment similar to that at the Chorley site to ensure the environment both indoors and outdoors is of the highest standard possible to encourage quality teaching, learning and child development.

Our Staff

All of our staff members are fully qualified from Level 3 up to Level 6. They have all gained safeguarding and first aid qualifications to ensure your children are safe and well cared for at all times.

The majority of our Playdor team have been a part of the setting for many years and continue to ensure high quality education for all your children. Sharon manages Playdor Higher Walton and has worked at the nursery for 20 years now! It is safe to say she is the glue that holds the nursery together for all children, families and staff. Sharon is caring, understanding and instils love and kindness into the nursery for all who walk through our doors.
